Barbara Hanson has been a self taught Polymer Clay artist since 1985. It began when she was a college student at Humboldt State University working on her elementary school teaching credential. In 1991 she moved to Kona Hawaii and started Omodt Art Designs, a very successful art business that paved the way for other polymer clay artists.
Barbara Hanson is currently involved with the Blue Sea Artisan Cooperative gallery in the Kona International Market where she offers polymer clay workshops. She has been doing shows at Kona Village, Four Seasons Hualalai and various resorts on the Big Island for 20 years.
She continues to push the limits of polymer clay and recently acquired a large oven to expand her wall hanging collection!!! Lots of new art is right around the corner! Enjoy her visions of Hawaii!!!
Barbara Hanson is currently the resident artist at Kona Village Resort and has been actively showing, teaching and demonstrating there for 14 years. She also shows at Four Seasons Hualalai, and various shops and galleries through out Hawaii.
Her goal is to create unique jewelry that is fun to wear, makes you feel great and supports her community.
